Fall Semester - Module I, 2006
Current News | Summer 2006 | Spring 2006 | Fall 2005Monday, September 11, 2006
Berwyn Heights, Maryland
Dear Parents, Students, Principals and Teachers of Mrs. Dowd's Teaching Service,
As our nation remembers great courage and tragedy on the anniversary of September 11, 2001, we are comforted in thanking God for our inheritance, our freedom, and our continued safety.

One of our cherished freedoms, the Freedom of Assembly, allows us to gather in partnership with schools, teachers, parents, and students, to teach and learn. As Mrs. Dowd's Teaching Service prepares for our fall semester, we know that every teacher will be learning and every student will be teaching. We all give and receive as we review and enhance reading and math skills!
This year, 2006-2007, we are looking forward to being with old friends as well as making new ones. Some of our Supplemental Educational Services (SES) locations are familiar ones and some will introduce us to new families and staff.
Congratulations to Three Fine Schools!
Last school year, three of the schools Mrs. Dowd's Teaching Service was privileged to partner with, Bladensburg Elementary School, Riverdale Elementary, and Robert Grey Elementary School, passed Maryland Adequate yearly progress (AYP) standards for 2005-2006!
Our congratulations and respect go to Ms. Rhonda Pitts, Principal of Bladensburg ES, Ms. Carmela Vito Smith, Principal of Riverdale ES, and Mr. Prentice Christian, Principal and Ms. Rhonda Greene, Assistant Principal, at Robert R. Gray ES, and to all the outstanding teachers we have met at both schools. What a great job you all have done and what a difference you have made! We look forward to working with you as we tutor this year. 2006-2007 SCHOOLS.
Schools for 2006 – 2007

Plans are underway to tutor Maryland students in Prince George's and Frederick counties. Currently, we are enrolling students in nearly a dozen Prince George's county schools.

You can find this year's Title 1 schools and SES applications on the Prince Georges County SES information page. Even if your school is not listed above, we may have a program to serve you.
Your schools and your families are in our prayers as we prepare for another fruitful and pleasurable time together. We cannot wait to be with you again!
From all of us at Mrs. Dowd's Teaching Service,
Mrs. Eileen Dowd
