Tutoring Rates for Students K-12

For superior progress and continuity, we have found 1-2 hours of tutoring a week best serves our students. We require a minimum of one hour per session.

After you contact us to discuss and assess yourMrs. McMullen grades papers while students have a snack. student's strengths and weaknesses, we will assign a tutor or tutors to help your child gain confidence and competence in school.

From reading skills and phonics to algebraic equations, we have tutors eager to help your child succeed. Dyslexia, ADD, and other challenges are treated with respect and compassion. Private teaching benefits all students.

Rates - Preschool through Middle School

Each session may include 1-3 students from the same family.

One hour of elementary or middle school tutoring ranges between $40- $55*, which includes:

  •   Tutoring in immediate subject needs
  •   Regular review of learned skills
  •   Preparation for future assignments
  •   Notebook, assignment, and homework organization
  •   School meetings with teachers or counselors as necessary
  •   Peaceful advocates for families in need of mediation with their student's school
  •   * We strive to maintain the lowest rate possible and will often add additional time at the end of the session without charge.

    Rates - High School through College

    One hour of high school or college tutoring is $45-$65* for one student and $70 for two students from the same family. We have high school and college level tutors for:

  •   Algebra, Geometry, Advanced Math, and Calculus
  •   Writing composition and organization skills
  •   Ancient, World, and American History and American Government
  •   Earth/Space Science, Biology, Chemistry, and Physics
  •   Study and review for Maryland State Assessment Tests
  •   PSAT, SAT, and ACT test preparation
  •   Notebook, assignment, and homework organization
  •   School meetings with teachers or counselors as requested by parents
  •   Peaceful advocates for families in need of mediation with their student's school
  •   * We strive to maintain reasonable rates and will often give additional help, at the end of the session without charge.
